With love… it’s back – the Great Big Stitched Postcard Swap (3)

Did you like this? Share it:

It’s that time again!  Time to get out your supplies, stitch up some lovely postcard art, send it off and receive some some love in the mail from somewhere else in the world.   Thank you to all of you who have demanded a re-run!    Last time we had 85 people from 13 countries on 5 continents stitching up a storm.  Join us!

Given that we are in February, I really had no option but to choose the theme of…

 ’LOVE’

So interpret that however you like, and use anything you like (paper, ink, fabric, ephemera, ribbon) to make a postcard.  You can include ‘stitches’ any way you like – with a machine or by hand.

It’s simple to join the third Great Big Stitched Postcard swap:

- Leave a comment below and send me an email with your postal address and blog address if you have one (bethvnicholls at googlemail dot com) by Monday 28 February

- If you like, write a post or put a button on your blog to say you are joining in.  Feel free to use little image below.  Please link back to this post

- I will send you the address of your swap partner by Tuesday 1 March

- Make your postcard with the theme ‘LOVE’, using any materials you like, and any techniques you like.  For inspiration click this link to see what was made in the last two swaps, with the themes ‘TIME’ and ‘HOME’.  Please aim to finish making it by Sunday 6 March.

- Take a photo of your postcard (just in case it gets lost in the post)

- Post your postcard to your swap partner (don’t forget to include your email address as your partner might want to thank you!).  Please post it in the week beginning March 7

- Wait eagerly for yours.  When it arrives, take a photo and post it to the Great Big Stitched Postcard Swap Flickr group, and have a look at all the other lovely creations

- If you want to write a blog post about it, please send me the link so I can share it.

- Enjoy the lovely art you received in the mail!
