Postcard by Ashley Lotecki, Canada
As we celebrate three years of Do What You Love this month, we are so happy to share these beautiful pieces of art created for our Great Big Stitched Postcard Swap with the theme ‘CELEBRATE’. This swap was our biggest ever with over 300 participants from around the globe taking part!
We have been spotting some absolutely gorgeous postcard-sized art which has been whizzing its way across the world over the past few weeks.
Thank you so much to the hundreds of people from every corner of the world who joined in, stitched up some beautiful work and shared it with new friends in distant countries. More gorgeousness is being posted to our Flickr group as we speak and below are just a tiny handful of the beautiful postcards that have been sent in for the big swap. We just love the way that everyone put so much love and care into their designs, and shared their creativity via snail mail in this way, sending a little piece of happiness and inspiration across the world!

We promised that one lucky postcard creator would win a place on “The Art and Business of Surface Pattern Design” module 1 class that will take place March 2014. And the winner is…
Shannon McNab from San Francisco
Congratulations Shannon – we will be in touch with details!
If you are interested in learning all about surface pattern design then why not join us for the next class – an exciting way to dive into your creativity. Registration is open here.
For the first time ever we will be doing a magazine feature all about the swap! This will be published in MOYO Magazine (which you can read for free via this link) in Spring 2014. The Editors will pick a selection of submitted postcards to be included in the feature.
The Great Big Stitched Postcard Swap is a quarterly event. If you want to be notified of the next one please sign up for the newsletter via the link at the top of this blog.
