* To Diane and Lynn for introducing me to the Garden Oriental and sharing a wonderful evening of stories, French Onion Soup and wine

* To the sweet lady at our local who kept us well fed with chicken teriyaki and homemade miso soup when we couldn’t face preparing dinner on top of our fridge again

* To kimono designer Miura-sensei, for letting me into your studio and taking me under your wing

* To the Immigration Office for letting us stay longer
