There are many ways I might describe myself but refined is probably not one of them. I am always too interested in getting out and doing things to be bothered to be made up perfectly on a normal day, and these days I am more likely to be fresh off my bike with windswept hair.
But from time to time I think it would be nice to be a bit more of a lady – and sat here noticing these two was one of those times.
Look at the elegance of these two fine ladies in this Kyoto tea house, one in a kimono and one in a silk scarf. Just watching them sit their sipping their teas made me want to smooth my skirt and brush my hair.
I know I couldn’t spend all my time elegant and refined, but I think I’d like to borrow those qualities for a while every now and then.
