Four times a year I do a fun little poetry challenge on Instagram @bethkempton. It’s very simple. I post a one word prompt with a picture each day, and you get ten minutes to write a tiny poem, ideally with no editing. It’s a fun way to get into the rhythm of writing things without them having to become something big. It’s free and open to everyone – just hop over to my Instagram and look for the daily prompt (it usually goes live around 9.15am).
